WTVI in the Community

WTVI is active across the Charlotte area–from original programs that feature the stories, history, and people who make our region a great place to live; to partnerships that support  STEM education and dropout prevention; to special events and preview screenings that feature national PBS programs.

PBS Salutes Veterans

Our free screening of Ken Burns and Lynn Novick’s “The Vietnam War” and our own “Vietnam in the Carolinas” at Halton Theater was attended by over 600 people. Vietnam Veterans in attendance received a commemorative pin from the Department of Defense recognizing their service. This is just one way PBS Charlotte serves our region with community engagement events.
