Carolina Collectibles Returns to PBS Charlotte

Carolina Collectibles, our local take on Antiques Roadshow, returns with exciting stories and surprising discoveries from last fall’s event. Don’t miss the premiere of the newest episode on Monday, June 2 at 7:00 p.m., only on PBS Charlotte.

At our 8th annual Carolina Collectibles in 2024, guests brought personal treasures for verbal evaluationsby experts from Leland Little Auctions. Highlights included a baseball bat signed by over 50 Hall of Famers and an envelope containing original Norman Rockwell sketches—estimated at over $200,000. Be sure to tune in to see all the treasures and the incredible stories that came with them.

Our 9th annual Carolina Collectibles returns on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the PBS Charlotte studios, once again in partnership with Leland Little Auctions.

Click the link below, select “View Thank-You Gifts,” show list of thank-you gifts, and choose your selected number of items and time slot you would like to join. The two time slot options are 9:00–11:30 a.m. or 12:30–3:00 p.m. You will receive an assigned one-hour time period within your selected window approximately two weeks before the event.

Join us for a day of discovery, history, and hidden treasures.

 

Important Information:

Participants will receive verbal evaluations only for their items—no written appraisals will be provided.

All attendees must provide a list of their items before the day of the event in order to participate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this be recorded for a future Antiques Roadshow program?
No, this is a PBS Charlotte event and is not affiliated with the Antiques Roadshow series. However, we will be recording to create our own special to air later.

Where is PBS Charlotte located?

Our address is 3242 Commonwealth Ave., Charlotte, NC 28205. 

Will anyone be available to carry my items inside?
Due to our insurance liability, PBS Charlotte staff and volunteers will not be able to handle your items. However, we will provide dollys and industrial carts for your use.

May I bring a guest? 
Your admission is based on the number of vouchers you choose to receive as opposed to tickets for individual people. We will have handcarts available if you need help carrying items.

Can I arrive earlier than my appointment time? 
Please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment time. If you need to change your appointment time, please let us know ASAP by email at memberservices@wtvi.org.
 

What is the station doing to help protect people from COVID-19? 
Our guests’ health and safety is always our main concern. We have set up hand-sanitizer stations throughout our building, and ask people to wash their hands in our restrooms as soon as they enter. We will have handcarts available if you need assistance carrying items. 

Are firearms allowed?
No. Due to our insurance liability, PBS Charlotte CANNOT accommodate firearms on our property. Please bring an alternate item.

If I’m not sure what to bring, what should I do? 
Feel free to contact us via phone or email. We may ask you to email us images of your item(s) which we can forward to Leland Little Auctions representatives for their recommendation(s). 

What type of items do people bring?
Typical items include chairs and other small furniture, plates and dishware, vases, jewelry, paintings, dolls and a plethora of other unique memorabilia. If you have a larger item, please call or email us to discuss the options.

Where should I park?
PBS Charlotte has plenty of free parking.
